How to get to Devonport

By Sea:

The “Spirit of Tasmania" 1 and 11 depart Devonport and Melbourne each evening at 8 pm (summer peak sailing period ships depart each port at 9pm and 9am). The Devonport Visitor Centre has an online reservations centre and can arrange your Spirit of Tasmania Travel.

By Air:

Qantaslink flies four flights into Devonport each day from Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport with connections from all Australian airports.

By Road:

From Hobart take the A1 Midlands Highway and allow 3 ½ hours.

From Launceston take the A1 Bass Highway and allow 1 ¼ hours.

From the West Coast take the C132 Cradle Mt. Link Road via Sheffield and allow 3 hours.
